Terms of Use

Tend the Home provides house-manager placement introductions. We are not the employer of house managers, not a payroll service, and not a consumer-reporting agency. The family is the household employer.

Service area

We currently place only in Denver metro — Denver, Boulder, Cherry Creek, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch, Golden, Littleton, Erie, Louisville, and nearby. We do not offer service in CA, NY, MA, IL. Families outside the launch market may join a waitlist; that is not a promise we will expand there.

Fees (families)

Placement is a flat $3,000: a $750 non-refundable search deposit charged only after a free 20-minute fit call, and a $2,250 balance due within 5 days of an accepted offer and before the first paid day. A paid trial day or trial week is not a hire. If we do not make a hire, the family owes nothing beyond the deposit. If the family finds someone on their own during the search, nothing more is owed. Optional Household Playbook Setup is $495; a starter playbook template is included at no extra charge.

Candidates never pay us; families pay our fee.

Match policy

We present 2–3 finalists per round. First-round target: 10 business days after the family approves the job description. Later rounds: 7 business days after family feedback. Unlimited rounds inside a 90-day search window from the approved job description. One free 30-day extension and one free role reset per search. The search pauses after 10 business days with no family response to finalists. Round timing is a target, not a guarantee of a hire.

Replacement guarantee

If a placed house manager leaves for any reason within 90 days of the start date, we run one replacement search at no extra fee, using the same finalist rules, inside a 60-day window. Conditions: the balance is paid; the family notifies us within 14 days; the role is not materially changed (including hours or pay cut more than 20%); excluded if wages were not paid lawfully or the departure followed unsafe or unlawful treatment. The guarantee does not refund wages already paid to the house manager.

Introductions after the search

If the family (or anyone they refer) hires a candidate we introduced within 12 months, the $2,250 balance is owed.

Your decisions

You choose whom to interview, trial, and hire. We do not guarantee chemistry, tenure, or a specific start date. A person on our team reviews every application and makes every decision about who we present.

Accounts and conduct

Keep passwords and sign-in emails private. Do not post discriminatory requirements in a household profile. We will not screen on race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, or similar protected characteristics.

Governing law

Draft: Colorado law; disputes in Denver County after good-faith mediation. Confirm with counsel.
